Health Costs for Employers - Benefit Index Tool
COMPARISON TOOL
This section of the website provides purchasers with information regarding the relative benefit richness of plans being offered by carriers and contrasts that with premium costs. The purpose of this information is to allow purchasers to gain a better understanding of which product offerings (HMO, PPO, POS, etc) by employer group size (1 employee, 2-9 employees, etc) have historically been a better value. For example, the following table reveals that while the premium for the first product is $69 less than the second product, the second product has a richer benefit package (0.98 is closer to 1.0 than 0.87). These comparisons assume similar average age and industry type of the covered members. The comparison tool is based on a set of benefits that are defined by the NH Small Employer Health Reinsurance Pool. A link to these packages can be found by clicking here.
